Sometimes I wish I am not a Filipino.
Being number 1 racist in the world is not ok.
Having the worst trolls in social media is not ok.
It is not ok to hail from the land of the "judgmentals", as they would label us.
Sometimes I wish I am of different race,
but that sounds like the little racist in me,
discriminating my own blood..
But sometimes..
yeah sometimes, I wish....
I wish we have the confrontational and genuine spirit of (Most) Americans.
I wish we have the integrity of (Most) Germans.
I wish we have the intelligence of (Most) Indians
I wish we have the boldness of (Most) Indonesians
or the chillin' spirit of (Most) Cambodians
the dedication of (Most) Chinese
the excellence of (Most) Koreans
the gentleness of (Most) Thai
and the sweetness of (Most) Burmese and Malaysians.
Yet on the other note,
I celebrate SOME Filipinos for keeping on being genuine, trustworthy, wise, bold, dedicated, excellent, gentle, and sweet in their own ways. Being busy doing good instead of bullying others while not thinking of themselves better than anyone.
It is never ok to stereotype.
So to the good Filipinos out there,
I salute you! Keep doing good even if others won't.
Because God is watching anyway.. ✌️🙏
