"Be merciful to those who doubt..." This verse refers to those who are confused. Confused about the truth.
I always remember my family with this verse. I am the first convert and my family is still a devoted RC today. I don't have anything against them and our former religion, like I always say, it's not about religion. It is about our relationship with God. I have nothing against the catholics too because most of them are really devoting quality time for God. Indeed, spirituality has nothing to do much about religion. Closeness to God is a personal response to His call not to the religion's call. God will never talk about religion when we come face to face with Him.
Nevertheless, I am thankful to God for using my family to be whom I am today. I am stronger and still in the process of maturity. I should not worry because I believe, God has a plan for my loved ones. Not my way but His.
