the love of a Brian Welch (chibi on eucreo)

Ever heard of a band called KoRn?

KoRn is an American nu metal band that originated from Bakershield, California. This has been among the hottest bands around the globe in the mid 1990’s and early 2000s. If you are a teenager and you don’t know which band this one is, better ask your older brother or sister for they surely have something to say.

“The band’s catalogue consists of nine consecutive debuts in the top ten of the Billboard 200,[3] including a compilation album, Greatest Hits Vol.1, and their untitled eighth album, released on July 31, 2007. To date, Korn has sold over 30 million albums worldwide, including 16.5 in the U.S.,[4] while earning six Grammy nominations—two of which they have won.” – wikipedia
KoRn has become popular for their obscene lyrics that mostly talk about death, suicide, sex, and other ungodly ideals. Such works definitely reflect the negative characters of the band members. The teens were so crazy about this band. Go check it out in the internet.

Among the most important people rocking in KoRn was Brian Welch, also named “head”. Indeed, Brian was like a lost sheep (you can find lots of information about this man in the internet too.) He was so exposed to the sins of this world. He was once a dependant on methamphetamine, xanax, and sleeping pills. This man used to sing and play the guitar to worship the god of this world, and surely, he was completely out of the way then.

Who would’ve thought, that a person like Brian will get a new way? Few years ago, his mouth is like a spring of stinky words of satan, but now, he utter a never-ending thanks for the grace that he has received from above.

Brian, before taking a walk with Jesus Christ, had a lot of heartbreaking decisions to make. He had to leave the band that he has been with for more than a decade. He had to turn down the multi-million projects ahead. He had to get rid of the fame and wealth that are promised to him if he’ll just stay with the band. All of these, he gave up for Christ.

If you are Brian, would you do the same? Well, you’ll never know it, until you experience what he has experienced, until you find what he has seen, until you feel what‘s tugging inside of him.
Experiencing God in our life is a complete mystery, but nothing feels better than that. There are many “Brian Welch” in this world who are imperfect and weak, yet, God can reveal Himself to any lost sheep. Noone is bad enough to God if you are willing to let Him take control of your life.
