JDC Albay 12th Anniversary, #RESILIENCE IN THE FACE OF END TIMES’ ADVERSITIES THROUGH FAITH IN CHRIST.

#Resilience

“We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed.”
(2 Corinthians 4:8-9 NLT, second edition)

From FAITH to RESILIENCE

Without faith from God, we are lost. We are saved by grace through it. It’s our shield in our Christian walk and spiritual warfare. It is our goal to grow in faith each day. It remains to be a goal not to just talk about it but to take it into action otherwise, it is dead. Now faith is a goal, it is the fuel that fires up our relationship with God. No Christian should be lacking of it in the middle of tests, trials, and temptations. It is quite vital.

Now we would also say that:
• Faith does not take you out from the problem, it carries you through the problem.
• Faith keeps you holding on even through the storms.
• Faith keeps you going.
And such persistent spirit that we have because of faith is called RESILIENCE.

We believe that individually and as a church, we have been through many storms: be it personal problems, frustrations from outreaches, broken relationships, financial difficulties, various persecutions at different degrees. Most of us were in pain but our faith remained, and we chose to stand up and not waste time being devastated and lamenting. We have grown to be resilient. And that is because of our faith in God, our focus on Jesus, and our dedication and commitment to His call.
