Living the Christian life (Christian sufferings)
The 2nd chapter of 1st Peter taught me that truth about Jesus’ suffering, which I ought to imitate as His follower: “submit yourselves to your masters and show them complete respect, not only to those who are kind but considerate but also to those who are harsh. – v.18 God has faced more than enough in the hands of people.
Jesus suffered but He remained humble and forgiving. I too must learn to be like Him. “When He was insulted, He did not answer back.” V.23
The prophets are right when they said Christians will soon face persecutions wherever they go. These sufferings in our Christian life do not intimidate me but rather, fortify my faith because more and more, God’s word is proven true in our very eyes.
